Statement. The Belgian national coach told VTM NIEUWS: “We have no plan B.” He added that the team starts from one kopman (leader) and that the tactics assume the kopman is super. The kopman is Remco Evenepoel. He starts on Sunday.
First. Plan A has a name on it. It is legible. I note.
Second. Plan B has nothing in it. An empty box is not a fault. At the town hall, I receive forms every week with an empty box. I do not refuse them. I check that the box was optional.
Third. The coach also describes the race: relatively short, tactically less complex than the Worlds, competition slightly more limited. Tadej Pogacar does not start. These are observations about the race. They do not belong in the motivation box. I do not copy them there. I file them separately.
Fourth. The day before, the team reconnoitred seventy-six kilometres, including the Sencur circuit. Attached to the file.
One point remains that the rulebook does not cover. “Super” is not a word in the rulebook. I cannot measure it. A sock, yes. The line, yes. Super, no. I enter it in the observations column, which has no effect.
Myriam, at the back we have always had a plan B. It is called the time cut.
Verdict on the route sheet: compliant. What I think of an empty box the day before a championship, I do not note.
It’s true, we checked: HLN.
