Finding. A festival in Ibiza. Participants discover the island’s roads with cycling stars, according to WielerFlits. Entry package: £2,650, about €3,050. Higher package: £4,000 at minimum, about €4,600.
First. The people present are named. Johan Museeuw, former world champion. Marcel Kittel, former sprinter. Marianne Vos, who arrives after her gravel world title in Australia. Wout van Aert, expected on stage on Saturday with Marcel Kittel and Orla Chennaoui, Eurosport presenter. Compliant.
Second. The higher package guarantees the presence of stars on the guided rides. The rider who will accompany the participants is not fixed. I note a guarantee with no holder. At the town hall, a form with no name comes back to the counter.
Third. Wout van Aert is normally expected back in cyclo-cross later this winter. The date of his first race is not known. No date, no time limit. I cannot calculate anything.
Verdict on the ride: compliant, subject to a start list.
I do not note what I would do with €4,600. It is not in the column.
It’s true, we checked: WielerFlits.
